‍Guitarist Soïg Sibéril  passed away in April of 2025. Sibéril was considered one of the greatest fingerstyle guitarists in the world, but that doesn’t begin to describe the importance of his stature in the world of Breton music.  

‍In 2002 the now-defunct Coop Breizh published Gitar Partitions, the second of two tutorial books that Sibéril created in his lifetime. We have now made both books available on this site for download, as both the artist and the publisher are sadly no more, and we are concerned with keeping these important documents readily available for musicians into the future.

‍Gitar Partitions was published after Sibéril released his fourth solo album, Gitar. As such, the tracks here represent material from the early to mid part of his career, and therefore are representative of his first four solo recordings, particularly the third, Gwenojenn, and of course Gitar.
