The world of Breton music is in mourning after the passing of the revered clarinet player, singer, and storyteller Christian Duro on Sunday, November 3rd, at his home in Glomel, at the age of 83. ‘Music is to please people’ was the motto of one of the last of the old ‘treujenn gaol’ clarinet players. The whole of the ‘Fisel country’ and more broadly traditional Breton music “has lost a great treasure trove of knowledge and a real talent", stated renowned clarinetist Dominique Jouve, one of his better known students.
