Fingerstyle guitarist Soig Siberil was a mainstay of a bevy of classic Breton groups such as Kornog, Gwerz, and Pennou Skoulm . His brilliant second solo recording Entre ardois et granit is an acoustic guitar classic, presenting striking arrangements of both traditional and original material. Soig’s sound and technique place him easily alongside other masters such as John Renbourn and Pierre Bensusan. This is a powerful recording, sure to delight anyone who loves beautiful melodies performed with a precise and tender touch. Of special note are some tunes performed with former bandmate Jamie McMenemy on bouzouki.
